Diffusion smart PFT CO Transfer

The methane method benefits compared to helium also from the fact that the methane analyzer is not humidity sensitive a helium analyzer, so it does not require dehydration means like soda lime or calcium chloride that raise the cost of using.

The smart PFT CO Transfer is based on the method of SINGLE BREATH using methane. The system uses only one bottle of high accuracy mixture of methane-carbon monoxide (CH4/CO) and it does not require diffusion bags, like the old method of helium diffusion.

It is sampling during the whole exhalation, so it does not require the highly experienced user who will know how to define the wash-out volume, like the old method.

The breath hold time is 10 sec, but it could be adjusted is necessary by the user.

The flowsensor is made by silicone membrane and not turbine or pneumotach. So it is absolutely noiseless, is not heated and has very low resistance (< 0,1 Kpa/l/s). The flow range is 0-20 l/s and has a very low dead volume (<80 ml). It can also be easily disassembled for disinfection.

The gas analyzers are of high responce (<600msec) they are based on IR absorption and have wide range of measurement: 0-3000 ppm for both CO and CH4. The precision is <1%, while the linearity error for both is <2%.

The smart PFT CO Transfer is accompanied with BTP sensor. Thus it is measuring in real time the ambient values like Temperature, Barometric Pressure and Humidity.

Additionally it uses one use antibacterial filters with oval integrated mouthpiece which is ergonomic (like the shape of the lips) but also suitable for the children patients. These filters are packed one by one, each one includes a personal nose-clip and they are COVID-19

Measuring static lung volumes (FRC, RV, TLC), diffusion factor (DLCO), simple spirometry (SVC), flow-volume curve (FVC), maximum voluntary ventilation (MVV), airway resistances Rocc (shutter method) and respiratory muscles measurement P0.1, Pemax, και Pimax.
